Invoices, estimates and paying us
Everything we bill you sits in your client portal, so you always have the record even if an email goes astray.
Estimates come first
For most work we send an estimate — a quote for you to approve. Open it under Estimates, read it, then accept or decline online. Accepting tells us to start.
For larger pieces of work you may get a proposal instead, with more detail on scope and approach. Same idea: it waits for your decision.
Then the invoice
Under Invoices you will find everything we have billed, paid and unpaid. Each one shows what it covers, what is owed and when it is due. Open any invoice to view or download the PDF.
Statuses you will see:
- Unpaid — issued, not yet settled
- Partially paid — some received, a balance outstanding
- Overdue — past the due date
- Paid — settled in full
- Draft — not yet issued to you
How to pay
Open the invoice and use the payment option shown on it. Where online payment is available the button is right there; otherwise the invoice carries our banking details for EFT.
Paying by EFT? Use the invoice number as your reference. It is the difference between us matching your payment the same day and chasing it for a week.
Invoices priced in ZULU
Some JustBull products and services are priced in ZULU rather than rand. Those are settled from your CRM wallet balance, not your bank account.
Two things worth knowing:
- ZULU can only pay for ZULU-priced items. It cannot be applied to a rand invoice.
- Rand invoices are paid in rand. There is no conversion between the two.
Your ZULU balance and its full history are under Wallet. You cannot top it up yourself — JustBull credits it, once a year on 25 December, based on what you spent with us. See How You Earn ZuluRewards for the detail.
Credit notes
If something is refunded or adjusted we issue a credit note rather than editing the original invoice, so the trail stays intact. Credit notes also reduce the spend your ZuluRewards are calculated on.
Something looks wrong
Raise a support ticket from the portal, or reply to the invoice email. Tell us the invoice number and what does not look right. Do not pay an invoice you disagree with to avoid the awkwardness — it is far easier to fix before payment than after.
